Our projects include the design, development and production of yokeless axial flux motors and generators. Our next-generation machines are an essential part of the drivetrain for future electric vehicles. With focus on (OEM) motor development for electric vehicles, we'd like to support our operational team with a hands-on Quality Manager.
Initially you will support the establishment of quality operations at Magnax. We are currently deploying a small-scale cutting-edge motor manufacturing production line. Quality systems, processes and standards will be implemented for R&D operations and low volume production. Secondly, you develop and support automotive standard quality systems and implement these in our products for large scale production at our contract manufacturer facility. For the latter, you work in team with Engineering and the QA team of the contract manufacturer.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis you will also:
Develop the Magnax manufacturing quality management system, with automotive standards in mind.
Responsible for quality audit, quality investigations, and quality analysis in
* Magnax prototyping and low volume production area (A, B and C sample development).
* Contract manufacturer site (large volume production).
Develop the internal PPAP system and adapt automotive concepts to Magnax, as appropriate, to add value but not drive unnecessary cost.
Request, receive, review, and make necessary improvements to supplier quality documentation which may include quality plans, PFMEAs, PPAPs, corrective actions (8D), flow charts, etc.
Ensure to deliver customer quality documentation.
Take the lead in case of customer complaints.
Act as a liaison with suppliers and engineering on Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) projects and ensure suppliers are on track and capable for new launches.
Promptly identify and analyse manufacturing process related problems.
Analyze customer (internal and external) data and take actions to fulfill quality requirements.
Assist in the Improvement of the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Development Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Mass Production and New Model launch.
Responsible for future quality staffing, training process development, equipment and systems.
Who are we looking for?
Professional experience as a quality assurance or quality inspection engineer / manager, preferably in automotive or related industries.
Manufacturing, or Production Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; with a preference for Quality Assurance.
ISO9001/ QS9000 management experience.
Knowledge in QM Core Tools (e.g. FMEA, APQP, SPC, 8D, MSA, PPAP)
IATF 16949 experience
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 auditor skills
You have a hands-on mentality and you see building systems from the ground up as a great challenge.
